You can come home with a long handle. If you have a lift so Jack can be found in use as well. or otherwise is the string to something solid to start the car, took a step back and have a friend that tells you when you stop.
If you want to know where the hood latch? use of a rope and a tree at one end the other end is curved. But you could replace just unbolt the drilling or welding on site. go to a cemetery and get a job.
Good answers so far. You can do it.
