**** that ill just buy a new panel for like 80$
WOW how NOT to fix a car!!!
once I checked out a 1968 Camaro Convertible it was a beauty very nice new paint, new cabine etc…then I discovered that a lot of rusty metal was covered with bondo…..so for me it went from $35k to ?????
bondo is hell on vintage cars…
what would recommend using? i got some big cracks around the cowl induction design on my camaro hood and on the bumper
that’s because you still have chemical lift on your car that what i was told from my neighbour i had bad lightning cracks in my camaro should use stuff that bit high quality i wouldnt recommend this stuff there’s alot more stuff that’s better
This only sucks if you dont do it right. yes, it sometimes crumbles after you sand it after it dries. then after about like 7months it can crack and will sometimes crumble
Guys don’t Bondo. Ask your body shop what they fill with and if they’ll sell it to you. This stuff was bad in the 80s and hasn’t changed since….
look at your boys bling!!!!
I NEED the soundtrack!
I don’t think bondo makes sheet metal
not always. that’s what i thought to but think about it this way. if you pull a shirt it will stretch but won’t rip unless you pull really hard. Concrete if you pull will crack, the stitches is what make the shirt strong, and the stitches are like holes. its weird
I understand he is showing how to use a slide hammer but why did he not just get behind the dent and tap it with his hammer.less holes means stronger area.
hahaha yeah i think so too
Yes hand sanding is about all you can do for a Coleman grill that was eaten all the way through with rust on one whole side after you sheet metal and rivet it in and apply Bondo. I ran the grill for thirty minutes afterward and will take a closer look if any heat damage occurred. You must account for drip pan side clearance when repairing Coleman grills with Bondo.
You can body fill just about any size dent on any curved surface, Make sure you sand down your surface first to remove any rust, high, and low spots. Then you may need to use bondo in a few layers. Then it is all about sanding your shape the desired shape into the bondo (to match the curved surface) that is a sort of art, and takes a bit of practice.
I’m not sure this would work very well on a grill, I don’t think it can stand up to the high temperatures and may be toxic?
Bondo is difficult to apply/use except for flat surfaces. Using it for instance repairing rusted out metal in a Coleman camp stove makes for tricky application. I have read that acetone thins it out and may slow its very quick setting time so I will try that. I am a first time user and I hope it gets easier with time and thinning this tricky product out.
didnt even move**
dent puller??? didnt like like it even moved
