Okay, so…. basically tonight in the parking lot after work i was in an accident. Here’s how it went.
I walk out to my car with a co worker and we get in and turn on the music. I check my mirror and turn on the car… ( there is no signal of any of the cars around me being turned on, no lights, no people walking to cars.) I turn on the car and shift into reverse, keeping my foot on the brake i quickly check my mirror again, and turn around to check for cars, the way is clear. I begin to back up STRAIGHT, all of a sudden the proximity sensors on the back of my car start beeping and i brake immediately. Then the car moves forward sharply, because i have just been hit.( The other guy had a HUGE GMC Tahoe, he had pulled out on an angle and was quite close to my car to begin with, PLUS his vehicle had several other dents and scratches while mine is a year old camry) I pull back into my space a few feet and turn off the car. The guy is already outside of his car and asks for my insurance number because he is in a rush. I ask him to come inside my work to exchange info. Although, i did apologize, which makes me seem like i am to blame…in retrospect i am beginning to think i am not 100% at fault…. anyways… back to my question…. now that you know some of the circumstances surrounding the situation what i really want to know is…. Should i get insurance involved… (my mom estimates the damage on our car to be approx $1000) but my dent was worse than his…. ( Mine- about 1.5 inches deep, his 1″)…and what is the ruling on parking lot collisions is it true that it is always 50-50? I mean..he was backing up too, he could have tried to avoid me…. OH YAH… and i’m a 17 year old driver with her g2.
So… insurance? no insurance?
and is it always 50-50?
He wants me to pay…. .he just kept saying ” My son hit someone when he was younger too…” but i’m not sure it was all me hitting him….
What do you think??
OH yah..and this happened in a public plaza parking lot in southern ontario.
The damage inflicte on ym vehicle at the very right of the bumper on a 45 degree angle. it is pretty much in the middle of the right-side curved corner of the car.

I think you should get insurance if faute.Ensuite tell us that you will not have to worry about the cost, if not his faute.Je not know who to blame, honnêtement.Mais good luck!
You must have obtained a police report in which it occurred. No matter who is to blame. It seems that even if it was your fault, you can enjoy and make sure they are not paid. Contact your insurance company as soon as possible your file.
I have the impression that this was not your fault and the pilot Assume old and was willing to pay. I guess you’re a teenager beacause it is assumed that you are to blame, it’s not fair. It could be that be in tort.D From what you describe, checked the mirrors, etc, to ensure that there was someone behind you and you took the time to get out safely. Therefore, it should be the insurance libération.Contactez ASAP!
Get insurance in question.
Yes, it is likely to get their colleagues involved ins – unless you just want to pay your debt in full. If you did not give his ins. will contact your company – so it’s best to arrive shortly. Probably your 2 cos ins fight. your company will not pay if you are not clearly at fault. Unless the fault is clear proably the two companies undertook to look after their own damage. Has beaten both of them in the back? or one on the side? If it was supported by an angle and hit you in the face – that’s not good for you. It appears that your past history – stopped going because their sensors. If you can not pretend that you were arrested – and struck, could fonctionner.Une another snack – just because you have insurance does not automatically pay claims. and demand is not against the ins co. The application is against him. Your insurance policy is to defend against claims and pay whatever it deems necessary to resolve a claim.
This will probably be difficult, contact your insurance company and let réglerMalheureusement in many cases like this is usually blamed for the accident the young
No, this is not true that all parking collisions are always 50-50, but in your case, it would be. You have been so much support from their respective areas, so both have a duty to ensure it is safe. So I want you 50/50.Quant pay for his damages, he absolutely refuses to do so. If he wants to repair their damage and then tell him to go through their insurance, which means, obviously, I recommend you go through insurance. Either that or pay 100% of the boys other damage for something that you are responsible for 50% (do not think other kids will accept anything less than 100%, but if you try to speak against the participation of insurance) .
