This is a fantastic book for anyone interested in Corvettes from 1968 to 1982. Covers every year with more depth than I thought possible. If you are considering buying a 1968-1982 Corvette or participate in the restoration of information will be invaluable. It covers the numbers and date codes for virtually every car component and not only tells you what the correct numbers and dates, but also explains where they are and what they mean. As described in detail is the appearance of the original parts. The material part is made of (iron, forged steel, rigid plastic, metal pot, etc.) is revealed, the original finish (painted black semi-gloss, dichromate plating, phosphate gray cross, etc) described the method by the party which gives the car in question, the differences between the party and later replacemnt service and reproduction parts described, and almost every detail has been in others. Even the changes made during each year running the model are discussed in depth. The end of the book has several very useful tables and charts that allow quick reference numbers of reference, etc.. And of course, detailed photographs in the text do a wonderful job of illustrating the information presented. This is not a coffee table book, or a superficial reading, but a tool for those who want to learn more about Corvettes. It is very well written and illustrated, and I recommend it to anyone interested in Corvettes from 1968 to 1982.

It would be a good book, if you buy a vette, determine its originality, but a guide for the restoration, it is not. Rating: 3 / 5
