Peter Vincent has written a number of excellent hot rod books and his photography is excellent. Its the same in this book however in my opinion the title is not correct. I bought this book thinking it was about hot rod “GARAGES” but really except for a few brief descriptions the book is about the various cars put out by the owners and builders from these garages. Most of the photography is of cars and not buildings. The book follows a popular theme of a lot of hot rod books available by listing a well known builder and then describing his cars, with a few “token” words about the garage. I would like to see a book that does in fact show the actual structures.
All in all an excellent photo book but not quite what I was led to believe by reading the title.
Rating: 4 / 5
