There is a 1inch tear on the drivers seat, can i take it into a place and have them repair that tear, so that i don’t have to spend all that money to reupholster? If so, how much would they charge me?

go to auto parts store like Canadian Tire or the partsource and get yourself a leather repair kit, very cheap. It will do the job but colour match will be off a little bit. If you take it to the upholster shop it would cost you like arm and leg,$100 to $200 for one inch tear.
Yes this can be fixed by a qualified leather technician as long as the leather is in good condition, but it would be impossible to put a price on it as jobs and areas vary.
