   butt welds have been difficult for me in my welding class. I like T-welds now looked professional haha

   darter1075, check the online advantage of I-CAR. They have a procedure to open butt welds.

   We teach both welds, butt welded without the support of the plate and a plate. We use I-curricular and cars that have run in both directions. We have also used the issue of 4 and 5, James E. Duffy and textbooks that recommend both directions. Butt can be used for cutting panels in some areas. Rockers and pillars should use the inserts. I-CAR can not prove the butt welds, but did not discourage the teaching method. We had no time for a video with a support plate.

   ICAR evil does not approve a standard butt weld, butt weld pass only with support.
