I renewed my car registration, lost the paper, and theres no evidence of me renewing it on the computer?

I renewed my plates through the mail the day before they expired. a week later i got the registration through the mail and began to use my car again. yesterday i was in a collision and lost my wallet with my registration in it, so i called my insurance company and they have no evidence of my renewing my plates,. what do i do??

    There will be a record at both your county registrar and your state motor vehicle department.

    Contact the DMV. The insurance company may have made a mistake. If the DMV sent you a renewal they should have a record of it.

    Why did you call your insurance company about your registration? It didn’t issue it, the BMV did. If you have a record of your payment to the BMV, like the canceled check or an electronic debit to the BMV, take that to the BMV and get a replacement.

    Why would you contact your insurance? They don’t keep track of your registration. Contact the DMV and see about getting duplicates for lost stickers.
