John Timpson’s workshops at Wandsworth Prison help inmates learn a trade
It is 8am when John Timpson’s shiny, black, chauffeured car rolls up outside McDonalds in Streatham. “He’s got a good smiley manner. I’d take him on,” announces the millionaire retail boss, as a youth fetches his porridge. “I’ve been known to give people a job on the spot in the past.”
