I recently got a ticket in the mail for running a red light. I have several issues with how the ticket is handled. First of all, as per how I see it when I went through the intersection the light was still yellow. Just before intersection the car to the right of me was trying to switch lines and was about to clip me. Since I was ahead of the other vehicle the rules of defensive driving directed that I try to speed up to avoid the collision rather than slow down (as the other vehicle was partially behind me. As such I ended up running the yellow light. However the camera says I run the red light by 0.2 seconds. Additionally according to the ticket my infraction was only 0.016 seconds, so even the ticket was not accurate (it was rounded). Two questions: first what are rules for trying to avoid the collision and running the yellow light and secondly what are rules regarding the rounding infraction time (I was technically added 20% higher offence even if numbers were visible to print right
