I think the title covers this one. Honda’s are famous for this so I made this little video to help you should you be in this situation. Wear your safety glasses when you do this or whenever you hit things, getting crap in your eye sucks, trust me. Impact drivers can be found at your local tool supplier. If you don’t have a hammer I don’t know what to tell you. This doesn’t seem to require a long explanation so I’m going to stop typing now. yikes, I do not use the hammer to paint as close to the terminal screw! can damage the threads of the bolts of the wheel with dip cosseJ’appuie pb blaster and hammer at the hat of the rotor to allow the piercing to soak and loosen more easily oxidized than boulonJe aside and just use a terminal of the screw in the clamp bolt for a perfect fit to keep the center in platelets brake / delete-reinstall the clip
@ Busrid3r Glad I could help. Thanks for the comment.
You just made my day. . . THANK YOU!
@ ThinkerMister11 try next time is much faster than drilling in my opinion.
the pain of these screws have given me. . I ended up drilling and stars on one side forever
@ Asb81689 Thanks for the great comment. I made a video on replacing wheel bearings Honda is not exactly the same as what you need, but will give you an idea of what you’ve done that you should try it yourself.
Friend, thank you very much for these videos, I can not begin to tell you how much they have had difficulty trying to remove my front rotors for my Hyundai 04, I felt like giving up and take it to the store. . . . I even did a quick search on youtube! I’ll take another swing tomorrow. I have a question for you though, my mechanic says I need a new wheel bearing, and will cost $ 275 is pretty easy I could do with some form of videos? Thanks just signed encoreAussi
@ JuanPapaNicolao thanks.
this guy is a good mechanic
very good point, Thanks
@ Jambe1234567 always put them back in unless I break them. You do not have to do but is easier to put the clip again, as they will have to fight against the rotor to do so.
Eric, do we always replace the scresw or just leave it open because they have been inserted in the House? Thanks
Oh man, I have a Kia Serento, and took all day. lol its brutal
@ Undrtkr26 take a little further, what about 1999 to 2003 Acura TL? This car has been totally a blunder.
For all the innovations and quality of Honda, there are still some things that the error (screw rotor and the rotor in captivity): P
I used the 10 Bosh. Impact Driver 8, and is pretty easy. . It can also be beaten with a pb blaster before hand
I had some screws stuck in my Integra a few years ago. My impact driver stripped the screw head and the little broken, so I took a Dremel and cut a new slot in the screw head. Basically I created a flat head screw. Then I took a little flat head impact and got off. I have not had a stroke at the time, or pneumatic tools. I was not keeping the rotors, so do not worry about the damage. But next time I’ll have to try this method first ballpen is removable. Great video indeed!
@ Samlo6 Need to deliver, no. If you back? I think so. I guess if they spent money and time to put at least I can do is put in place. If they break out when I try to not make the effort to replace them, however.
I was told that once you get the screws out, you do not get them back because they were initially on a temporary basis, the rotors, so do not all fit into the assembly line and are useless. Is this true? What is your opinion?
@ Astro29 Thank you, welcome aboard.
Sub’d only friend. You rock!
Want2no2 @ Do not worry, the wheel will keep the rotor in place when the bolt if it is not necessary to replace the attachment in case of breakage.
If you break the screw heads, you still need to drill or you can remove the rotor at this time?
