Replacing an Accord Wheel Bearing

Ok, here it is finally. A few of you have requested this procedure so here it is. As I said in the video I normally use a different method of removing the hub from the assembly by using a slide hammer. I also normally use a press to reinstall the hub into the new bearing instead of hitting it with a hammer. Life is not perfect and we sometimes have to improvise as I did here. I know a few of you will ask about the size fasteners that I used to hammer the bearing out, I used hardened (8.8) 10×1.25 bolts to do the job. I also promised links to the other videos that relate to this one so here they are. “Oops, Axle Ball Joint Replacement” www.youtube.com and also “How to Replace Honda Captive Rotors” www.youtube.com As always you can visit me at ericthecarguy.com ericthecarguy.com Thanks again to all that have subscribed and left such great comments on my videos and my channel, you are the best, I mean it. You know the line Stay dirty ETCG

  1. @ Undrtkr26 Well, at least you know what goes hand in hand now and you do not have to worry about go back and change the rear bearing. Try to stay on the good side of things. Thanks for the comment.

  2. Awesome video! Unfortunately, I lost control of the wheel bearing is that the rotor has stopped before I found this and replace the rotor video: P Please keep up the excellent work.

  4. San xd45 dog wouldve saved me with this lug bolt

  5. @ 1Bakke1 This could be a number of things. The first thing that comes to mind is bad brake pads. There were 2 different settings and if you clip platelets in error you can encounter a state as you describe. The other possibility is that the rotors are of age and must be machined in the rotor into the upper normal wear to the center. Also make sure the blades are working properly, then wipe with silicone lubricant.

  6. In the two rotors is a lip on the top and bottom in my skates and it seems that others are not touching the rotor and there is a slot at the top and bottom.

  7. Nice Video! Could just as well and rotor hub conversion! But as compensation, which is good Instructions

  14. @ 1Bakke1 Check the brakes first. Then look for debris between the plate and rotor.

  19. Check your tires first psi, and 4 all are correct. If the problem persists get a good overview of the front tires. Make sure you do not have a bomb, then rotate the rear wheel suspect and see if the sweater is still there, if you know it’s a tire problem.
