I asked a question recently and I want to can I drive it or should i wait for showing to a mechanic?
I only need to drive like 10 mins tonight and 25 ish mins tommorow (maybe – depending if my mom wants to go to work)
Original Question which was asked earlier –
Ok I just realized it when I came home that this car of ours (honda accord of 2000 or something) had let out smoke on our way home for about 10 secs from the back.
When I reached home I realized the handbrake was still up (and not down). So maybe that is why the smoke came? And the car is letting out a foul smell as well.
What should I Do? Should I be worried?

70% of your braking is done from the front anyway.
get the brakes checked soon, but it should be fine. worst case scenario, need new back pads, depending on how far you drove.
Yeah, you fried the parking brake. If the car still stops okay in traffic it’s no big deal, go ahead and drive it as much as you want to.
You just got your rear brakes hot. Just drive carefully till you are sure that the brakes are functioning properly. If they don’t seem to stop like they should, get it to a shop ASAP.
