Band-Switchfoot Song-The Sound (John M Perkins’ Blues) Album-Hello Hurricane Jon Foreman-Vocals, Guitar Tim Foreman-Bass Chad Butler-Drums Jerome Fontamillas-Guitar, Keyboard Drew Shirley-Guitar Lyrics-The Static comes in slow You can feel it grow Our stream of conscience flows Under the streets below Ooooh Ooooh The rivers made of sound Still running underground Runs like a silent flood We run as thick as blood Ooooh Ooooh Can you hear it rise Up from the ground Can’t drown it out Can you hear it now This is the sound of a heartbeat This is the sound from the discontented mouths Of a haunted nation We are the voice of breaking down Can you hear me? This is the sound of the desperation bound By our own collision We are the voice of breaking down The static comes alive Beneath the broken skies John Perkins said it right Love is the final fight Let it rise above Rise above There is no song Louder than love This is the sound of a heartbeat this is the sound from the discontented mouths of a haunted nation we are the voice of breaking down Can you hear me? This is the sound of the desperation bound by our own collision we are the voice of breaking down Down Down Down Can you hear it rise Up from the ground Can’t drown it out Can you hear it now This is the sound of a heartbeat This is the sound of the discontented mouths Of a haunted nation, we are the voice of breaking down Can you hear me This is the sound of the desperation bound by our collision, we are the voice of …

GREAT GREAT BANDGreat GRANDESwitchfoot songINSIRATORS!
haha I laughed so hard when I heard on the radio. its so bad!
I like this together. amazing stuff. The second chorus in particular is very good. It seems so volatile compared to the first. Makes you want to keep turning up stronger. This song was certainly the highlight for me on the show I saw Switchfoot in April.
Was this photo with a digital SLR camera video? The quality is very sweet!
@ 1337Ravage serious! I’m starting to get really pissed off that is not there! Waaaaay better!
@ EvryBreathA2ndChance I think he said “a state of collapse”
As for my machinima this song:)
@ SammSquamch I know it’s an Epiphone, but this model is, you know? And yes, I saw this video, very sweet!
Epiphone TheMarkHoppus182 @. If you are on the pedals, do a search (Yahoo) in a march + + Shirley (wereawakening. ..), and speaks of the pedals, amplifiers. . .
Does anyone know what Drew’s guitar used in this video?
@ EvryBreathA2ndChance Christianguy right in the chorus in this part is “for our own collisions, however, the part that you refer at 4:10, he says,” for a fallen state. “
I just returned from seeing the Del Mar Fair, was everything you expected and more A LOT!
This song to play! I saw them live in London! they were great! Switchfoot are the best!
So for those who have not seen the real music video, check out. . . like, now!
Because it’s amazinggg. majorly powerful. Switchfoot @ found on the page.
@ EvryBreathA2ndChance I think he said “our own condition” in this part. The rest are for you if the collisions.:)
this song rocks Toystory no SO 3:)
Beliefs ur really needs to be in conflict with the way this song is good? stop being retarded and enjoy the freakin song.
@ EvryBreathA2ndChance I think it is actually “fell in our conditions.” Sounds fair to me.
Link to download pls:)
Switchfoot is more than just a Christian group. These guys can come to you, no matter what religion you choose to practice. Stop them in a clean box and just hold them for who they are, this way you can avoid limiting understand his words to his songs. I met people who are not Christians, but are able to grasp the true meaning of the words of San Francisco just keep an open mind. So do the same, and could get more of his songs every believer in faith.
