I found Vw Beetle Performance Handbook Keith Seume the perfect book for a beginner. It has valuable information on all aspects of building a car suspension, brakes, transmission, and engine. I will certainly use a great improvement that has been described. However, I found many of its dangerous engine modification. I found a VW Beetle Performance Handbook book very informative especially for a beginner. It has useful information Musch surely apply to my car. However, I think this book lacks in description. It presents preliminary knowledge, but never speaks of time or cams carbohydrates affect driving. It includes improvements to the advisory are definitely dangerous, for example, you said the latter driving a 84×94, 48 IDA Weber, 44×37. 5 head, big cam MSD 6AL ignition, and the head of a merger with a turbo. It was with something as important as control valves and connecting rods geometry. With this combination of an engine could easily be 3 times its original release in time, without any modification to increase the degree VALVE probably would use its engine sucked a valve and piston that passes through the case of demolishing way effective pistons, rods, heads and can still be the case. So, in sum timely a little vague, I suggest this book for prior knowledge, but rather for a description, such as the Manual of VW stock.

This book is great, it is most related to perfomance issues Beetle. There are many books about details of how uprated engine, but this book also deals with the suspension and, above all braking systems!
Rating: 4 / 5
A great “how to” book that gives general guidelines on all important areas as how to go about building a custom Beetle. Probably not very detailed enough for a generator Beetle experience watching all the mods and more. It is intended primarily for someone who does it first. His other book, “Air-Cooled VW Engine Interchange Manual” (5 stars) is the next step down in regard to details and specific information focusing on the engine.
