which one is better ? one is made in japan while other is made in germen. some ppl say european cars are harder and stronger, so if some car tbone to rabbit, it is safer than impreza? is that true?

also which one is best safety at all for example in winter and in collision.
i think those two car consume similar gas but impreza is awd.
