I think some Mercedes or Lexus models have a system that tries to rotate the seat or something as you are about to get into a crash to try to protect you. I dont know the details though.

For the present day, it is YOUR SENSES … eyes, ears … and reflexes … so with defensive driving, you see the trouble coming, and you manage to swerve, brake, acelerate, whatever to either avoid the trouble, or lessen the impact.

With GPS and cameras every place, you will learn about obstructions that are just around the bend in the road.
