I backed into a brick mailbox and I have a huge white deep scrape on the back of the car. It is a silver metallic car. If I get this repaired can they blend the area in with factory paint or will the whole area need to be repainted? Will the car even look close to new again?
ps- will the colors match or will there be color shade difference? I want the car to look as close to new as possible.

With painting are updated the body shop painted the zonevous not have to know the diffrence. especially if the shop is a good thing.
It depends on how The Body Shop. Probably blend in painting usually involves the entire region, and if they use the correct color code should not be able to say that even happened. So do your research and ask about a good body, the answers to your questions depend on a good body shop and how much money you spend to remedy. Until then, look at the mailbox!
If zero is the transparent layer, and then most body shops can polish the scratch and little or no color change or distortion in the paint factory, if it is too deep in the past, so any paint or region will need to be repainted, most body shops can repair the vehicle without any difference in the paint unless the paint is faded from the factory.
A good body shop can match your paint to perfection and will never be able to say, will probably have to paint the entire scene.
