Getting on the highway from where I live there’s a yeild on the ramp. I had the right of way, and I have only 4 years on the road, but I know enough that yeilds can be very dangerous. So I’m following a line of cars onto the highway, and sure enough someone is approaching the yield, I watch them not look, cut me right off (quick evasive move to the left, and a bit of brake, luckily I was watching and avoided a collision).
I merge onto the highway, quick merge to centre, and pull up next to the driver who cut me off so I can flip them off.
Well, the lady driver isn’t looking at me, nor the road. She’s lighting her cigarrette. What’s worse… there’s 3 kids in the car. I decide, because of the kids, not to flip her off, I just shook my head, and sped up to my highway cruise speed.
What the heck goes through people’s minds? I mean, kids in the car, smoking, while merging onto the highway? What the heck could be going through her mind?

I’ll rant a bit since you asked. First American, it is very easy to obtain a license. I mean that you can lose about 25% of the questions and still pass. Well 25% may have been some very important questions. I’m tired of these children here to ask how they can fail or pass the time should you expect if not a third time. Jesus, there are perhaps 20 pages of questions. Takes 20 minutes to read. Read several times and you should have it down, but nobody takes seriousely. You know that in Japan it costs thousands of dollars and nearly a year, of course, rather than allow you to test. It’s a joke here and I’m not surprised that no one knows how to handle.

It really is amazing that no more accidents. If you think how stupid the average person is and realize half the world is more stupid than when you throw the car into the mix is not pretty. Unfortunately, an IQ test is not necessary for a driver’s license. Idiots are likely to remain entirely ignorant of the chaos and near accidents they cause.
